Glamazon wants to get real about beauty. We are bored of reading articles like 'you will be Jessica Alba by doing this' or 'go to this salon and you'll leave looking like a Victoria Secret model'. These articles are boring and set salons and girls up for failure.
Beauty is pain, beauty is work, beauty is not reduced to a single look, nor does one beauty tip apply universally!
Yourglamspiration is set to bust all the beauty myths and show you all the right (tried and tested) ways to do your makeup, wash your face, protect your skin, seek the best salons/beauty deals as well as answer any beauty tip you request!
Lets get real about beauty.

WHO RUN THE WORLD
"Don't waste your time on jealousy, sometimes you're ahead, sometimes you're behind, the race is long and in the end it's only with yourself" - Baz Luhrmann.
Enter the world of Glamazon....
The Glamazon girls are here to inspire and ensure each and every girl beams confidence. We want you feeling good about yourself - whether this is achieved from looking good, doing good or simply being good.
So what is confidence?
Glamazon believes that confidence is not about being arrogant, it's about being comfortable in your own skin, with your decisions and surroundings. It's also about being comfortable enough to admire your peers for all their amazing traits and achievements!
Confidence can only come from within and truly believing in yourself and what you are doing. Confidence should not be stifled by people's negativity as anyone who passes judgement on another is clearly too busy focussing on others. Every girl is different, likes different things and has different goals. We should learn from each other and value difference. Let the judges do them while you do you.
Reach for the stars, forget what everyone else is doing and stay beautiful!

Beauty + brains:
One of our Glamazon team members learnt about a very interesting psychology study called intelligence and praise and its goes a little something like this...
Children who are praised based on their 'intellegence' ("you're so smart sally") vs. their 'hard work' ("you worked so hard harry") were found to be outperformed by the 'hard workers' later in life.
This is because the hard workers never relied on their 'intelligence' to get them by. Further, the 'intelligent' children viewed failures as evidence of their stupidity and gave up earlier than the hard workers who viewed failures as a challenge to overcome by trying harder!
This shows how important it is to work hard vs. expecting things to fall in your lap. Trust the Glamazon team, there is no better way to achieve a true sense of self satisfaction than by setting yourself a challenge, working hard and reaching for the stars.

Bad hair day?
I swear the ONLY time my hair looks as good as Brad Pitt's face is:
1. When there is no need for it to look nice (aka I'd planned to watch the bachelor in my pjs).
2. When the person I secretly plan to marry is nowhere to be seen.
3. When I get it done at the hairdresser (and chances are, I still wont see anyone that day).
4. It rains.
If you are willing to work hard, the key to Beyonce hair everyday, all day, is to eat the right foods (e.g. avocado), drink plenty of water and ensure you have adequate silca levels. Also, ask your hairdresser what products are most suitable for your hair type. Everyone's hair is different so never compare or assume that what works for one will work for another. Happy days!

"Life is one big road with lots of signs. So when riding through the ruts, don't complicate the mind." - Bob Marley.
As we get older, we become more aware, more knowledgable and hopefully wiser.
Pressure can mount as your decisions are no longer handed to you and your choices actually count... But don't question your decisions if you feel they are what's best for you! Take a chance, have faith and do what you love/makes you happy and always take the good WITH the bad.
Glamazon is here to take the pressure off with our helpful de-stress tips:
1. Meditate - the best app for the is head space.
2. Do yoga.
3. Ask yourself "will this matter in a year?"
4. Try not to sweat the small stuff.
5. Life happens when you're busy making plans so enjoy the ride and try to focus on the present!
6. Book a massage with Glamazon App.

The hippy life:
Do you travel for the joy of the journey?
Do you travel for the destination?
Do you travel to find yourself? Love? Adventure? Understanding? A place to belong? Inspiration?
Do certain triggers to the senses immediately take you to a specific place? A certain time? A far far away land?
If you answered yes to one of these questions then you have a touch of gypsy deep inside!
The Glamazon girls definitely do and have put together a list of their favourite places and why…
Greece –blue and white sea, adventurous, sunset, eyros.
Paris – boutique, historic, surreal, passion, art.
Amsterdam – lush, gingerbread houses, laid back.
NYC – the rush, the vibe, the diversity.
LA – cool, calm, stereotypical.
Miami – vice, music, deco.
Bali – nature, monkeys, slow.
Where does your mind wander?

Every year the leaves turn on me and I know the dark days are coming, winter is coming. During this time all hope is lost as I fall into a deep hibernation, in which I get confused and start to store fat for warmer, not colder times ahead.
After days, weeks, months of wearing every item of clothing I own everyday, running from the shower to my heater religiously and enjoying more saturday nights in than I'm proud to admit, a miracle happens, spring arrives bringing with it a signal of hope for happier days!
Why is summer simply the best thing ever?
Here's my list why: salty hair, waves, coconuts, glowing tanned skin, fresh fruit, skimpy outfits, beach, hippie shakes, your favourite summer tunes and sunshine.

Putting together a rocking casual look is like finding the holy grail. It's a fine line between looking like an awkward hipster (think Brittany Murphy in Clueless) vs. Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner strolling down the streets of NYC.
Luckily for us, looking like Gigi and Kendall is made easy this spring. This season feel inspired by the 70s, pull out your old denims and totally rock them with a simple white t-shirt. I'd even go as far to say that the 90's is still cool - this means your Empire Records inspired midifts are still socially acceptable (yay). One more thing - stripper heels are no longer cool (thank god), lets get strappy and stylish ladies.

LITTLE MISS PIGGY
A balanced and realistic approach to food and exercise is key to healthy living. This is so important as being healthy will effect how you feel, physically healthy people are often mentally healthy people and Glamazon wants all our boss ladies feeling good!
Starving yourself and not allowing yourself to eat something you enjoy is truly unnecessary, you'll probably end up craving it more. That's not to say that splurging out on copious amounts of 'treats' is wise either. Your diet should mainly consist of 'real' foods, that being anything that looks natural, i.e. anything not from a packet. Yet, remember to be realistic about this, sometimes it's ok to treat yourself in order to avoid creating a phobias towards certain foods. Ultimately, moderation and proportion control is key to a balanced diet.
Team your balanced diet with a exercise regime fit for a queen! Working out 3 times a week for 30-60 minutes is optimal. Glamazon also recommends mixing up your workout - try different gym classes, try yoga, pilates, barre, boxing etc. BUT never forget that the outdoors is your friend, go for a run, walk or workout at the beach or at the park! The fresh air will do you good.
Glamazon also recommends you drink plenty of water.
Enjoy the beauty that surrounds us, don't run from the good things in life and always have a holistic view of health, wealth and happiness.

DRUNK IN LOVE
He is really pale and really hairy. He doesn't talk much, he chews with his mouth open. Sometimes I think he only loves me for my cooking. He never brushes his teeth, he always seems a bit smelly.
He does however provide for an excellent snuggle buddy, he is always there when I need him, he always listens and he is VERY cute.
My dogs the best.
Love comes in all shapes and sizes.

A mani break is the ultimate break! A mani break does not just consist of rushing to the nail bar, choosing a colour and then sitting there waiting for your nails to dry. It is so much more.
It's a time to sit in a relaxing chair, enjoy a hand massage, read a mag, put down your phone, switch off and indulge! It's also nice to know that for one hour, you literally don't have to lift a finger!
Glamazon's favourite OPI shades for spring/summer:
1. My Gecko does tricks (pastel green)
2. Do you take lei away? (nude)
3. That's hula-rious! (light pastel pink)
FYI these names are the best!
