Naughty or nice? Hair tips for the silly season.

It's that time of the year - there are only 7 more mondays until christmas! This means only 7 more mondays until we can stuff our faces (and not feel guilty), indulge in gifts, smile when someone likes our gifts and do whatever you like to do on a holiday - relax, exercise, read a book, travel - whatever!

As it is the silly season, there is usually lot's of events on - a christmas staff party, a ho ho ho party, christmas (obviously), NYE! etc. etc. This means lots of events where you can get your hair done!

In light of this, Glamazon recently interviewed the founder of Wilson Marz, Sally Schmidt, to find out how to rock a unique hair do (with accessories because we are obsessed) this silly season. Enjoy her fabulous tips on how to achieve these looks!

Comb through some mousse on towel dried hair and then rough dry, if your hair is curly use a brush to smooth the curl. Lightly spray some texturizing spray, such as  Oribe Dry Texture Spray through the hair. Using the middle of your eyes as a guide as to how wide you want the top pony to be, section the hair all the way back to the top of your crown. Do this loosely, you don't want to use a hairbrush with this look, try to only use your fingers. Secure with a small band. Gather the remaining hair into a loose pony at the nape and tie. Lightly brush the palms of your hands back and forward over the hair to push up looser pieces of hair to give a soft, wispy feel to this style. Lightly tease the ponytail with a paddle brush to give a sexy, messier look. A quick spritz of hairspray and you are ready!

Blow-dry your hair with a large round brush, once dry lightly spray with some dry shampoo/ texturising spray. Section the hair from the tops of the ears up towards the crown and gather loosely as if you are doing a ponytail and secure with your clip.. Don't stress, you may need a couple of try's to get this perfect!! Once in place, smooth any fly aways with a light mist of hairspray.

You can find these Hair Bungee's at any good hairdressing supply store, they are the essential hair tie! Blow-dry your hair smooth, once dried take big sections and wind the hair around the barrel of a large curling tong to give the hair a slight bend. Tease  the hair at the crown if you fancy a little height up top then smooth some serum through the hair for polish. Section the hair all the way around from ear to ear and gather that hair into a ponytail using two Bungee Bands hooked together, as close to the head as possible. The trick to this look is smoothness to the top and sides and a looser ponytail with movement. Spray the finished look with some shine spray to seal the deal!

This is the perfect 5 minute look! When your hair is 80% dry work through a generous amount of gel, we love Oribe Rock hard gel or some mousse, comb the product through the hair, then find the most flattering part for your face shape. Comb the hair back into a low ponytail and tie. Smooth away any fly-aways with some gel/mousse and then spray with a light hold hairspray.
